Demo, Hugo + TOML controlled

A fresher, fully configurable Hugo demo

New layout, new colors - same idea: hugo.toml controls everything. Change the baseURL, colors, texts or links once, and the whole site follows.

This demo shows a clean hero, feature cards, stats, and extra info sections. No hardcoded URLs or colors in the templates - just .Site.Params, .Site.Menus and relURL.

What this demo showcases

Four small sections to prove the config-driven setup works everywhere.

Why control everything from hugo.toml?

Because demos get moved, renamed and re-hosted. Set baseURL = "/" for local work, "/mysite/" for a subfolder, or a full domain for production - headers, footers, cards, buttons and meta tags all follow automatically via relURL, absURL and RelPermalink.

The same goes for style: tweak params.theme colors, radius or max-width here and the CSS variables update site-wide. Extra text blocks like this one are also just TOML strings, so editors never touch HTML.

Try it in 3 steps

  1. Edit TOML: Change a color, a headline, or the baseURL.
  2. Rebuild: Run hugo or hugo server.
  3. Check anywhere: Nav, footer, hero and cards all reflect the change.

Ready? Edit hugo.toml and run hugo server - the new teal look, extra sections and all paths update from that one file!
